ABOUT US

"MAD ABOUT LORIKEETS" is situated 15 minutes outside of Gatton in Queensland Australia. Our aviaries are situated on 3 acres of semi cleared bushland.
Whilst not being the most ideal area in Australia to breed lorikeets with temperatures ranging to extremes and rainfall at a minimum, we seem to manage very well, compensating with insulated aviaries, a continual supply of fresh water for drinking and bathing and a good diet.
Personally, I have kept parrots since I was young, only to take the leap to lorikeets a few years ago. In saying that, they have filled a void with keeping birds for me. They are so comical and friendly and such a delight to keep. Whilst being a little bit more work to care for them correctly, they more than compensate with their eagerness to breed for us 12 months of the year.

At "MAD ABOUT LORIKEETS" our passion is mutations. To pair birds of different colours together to eventually produce new colours not yet available is exciting to say the least.
Even though mutations are our passion, our main concern is the quality of birds that we breed. We provide good quality birds from proven breeding stock to customers who also share our passion and wish to experience the joy of breeding lorikeet and parrot mutations.
